Directions to the Metropolitan Building

By Subway

Take the E or M to 23rd St Ely Ave, or the 7 or G to 45th Rd. Court Square

From the E or M: Walk straight down 44th Dr. toward the Manhattan skyline until you hit 11th St. (Don’t worry, it will jump from 21st St. to 13th St. for some reason. The walk is just a few blocks.) At 11th St., take a right and walk two blocks. Venue is a red brick building on the corner of 44th Ave and 11th St. (Note: Do not be confused by the fact that there is a 44th Rd., 44th Dr. and 44th Ave., Queen was apparently designed by someone without much of an imagination.)

From the 7 or G: Walk straight down 45th Rd toward the Manhattan skyline until you hit 11th St. (Don’t worry, it will jump from 21st St. to 11th St. for some reason. The walk is just a few blocks.) At 11th St., take a right and walk three blocks. As New Yorkers know, the MTA often makes random service changes on the weekend. Please visit mta.info on October 15 to see if there are any changes to these subway lines that day.

By Car

From Manhattan (via the Upper Level of the Queensboro/59th Street Bridge): Use the upper level and stay all the way to the right. Take the first exit on your right. At the end of the ramp make a left on 21st Street, go three blocks and make a right on 44th Road. Go one block and make a right on 11th Street. The building is the dark red brick building on the corner.

From Brooklyn: Take BQE East and exit at McGuinness/Humboldt down the short ramp. Make a left and go down McGuinness for a few blocks. McGuinness leads over the Pulaski Bridge directly onto 11th Street. Continue on 11th Street for about six blocks to 44-01 11th Street. The building is on your right.

From New England (via the Triboro/RFK Bridge): Exit at the first exit over the bridge (Hoyt Avenue). Make a sharp right onto Astoria Blvd. Continue a short distance to 21st Street. then make a left onto 21st Street. Continue down 21st Street (about 2 miles) until you reach 44th Road. Make a right onto 44th Road. Continue to the stop sign (1 block) and make a right on 11th Street. Continue to 44-01 11th Street. The building is the dark red brick building on the corner.
